Salted Caramel Brownies with Tin Roof Ice Cream
Jess and I totally made some delicious brownies! And delicious ice cream! Then we combined the two and drizzled the left-over fudge sauce from making the ice cream over it because we are drunk with power. It was maybe the best brownie I’ve ever had and you should totally make them!

Lately I have been fantasizing about packing a bag, grabbing my hunny, and running off on a romantic, Parisian vacation. Unfortunately, my finances and new job aren’t allowing me to do that just yet. So, what’s a sweet potato to do?
My solution: chill out with some french music, throw on a beret and relish in some delicious French pastries. While central Texas may not be the epitome of a foodie’s paradise, I was able to locate a cafe that bakes the brilliant and sweet macaron. Le Boîte is a local cafe with a modest variety of coffees and French-inspired baked goods. Croissants, pain au chocolat, and French press coffee is in good supply at this establishment housed in a 20 ft shipping container.

Pictured clockwise from top right are orange blossom, pistachio with chocolate, strawberry and peach. The crisp shell, smooth filling, and delicate flavors were sweet and delightful. If you wish to try your hands at making some of you own, check out
